For every mile I walk/jog my fitbit seems to add an extra 1/10th of a mile or a little more. I did the step test of take 100 steps and see the accuracy, and then the 300 steps and it was accurate, but when I check distance with either my treadmill or mapmyrun, my fitbit always says I've gone further. Any ideas or suggestions?

It could mean your stride length needs adjusted. Distance is calculated as number of steps times stride length. Fitbit makes a guess at your stride length based on height, etc but cannot be expected to get it exact.
See How do I measure and adjust stride length for my Fitbit device?

@nannybanany Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for reporting the situation you have experienced with your One and the distance it is tracking. Thanks for trying those steps in order to sort this out.
Have you tried the steps provided by @JohnnyRow about adjusting your stride length already? This should certainly help you out with this.
Another thing you could try is performing a restart on your One. This has helped other users in the past.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted! ![]()
