Fitbit One not Syncing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Fitbit One has been counting steps and working fine however when I go to sync it to my phone, it will not sync. In the app it says that it has successfully synced and my calories burned sync however my steps do not.

I was hesitant to delete or replace the One (syncd/not-syncd) on my FitBit account for fear of losing data. On the iPhone 7Plus the FitBit app 'Account' panel has a link "+ Set Up a Device" - that's the one. When I chose that it said I already had a One (despite it not syncing). I went ahead with the setup and the device received the code as described. It's working now, Thanks everyone!

Thank you so much.  This method finally worked!  I am grateful and I hope my 2014 model Fitbit One will continue to sync.  It is only recently that it has stopped syncing and even the representative from Fitbit could not figure out what was going wrong.  Again, thank you!

And a brief update to this earlier post -- my Fitbit One automatically synced the first time but since then I have to manually sync it so that is a bit annoying.  This was never the case (since 2014).  I'm assuming this is a software issue.  My firmware is up-to-date.

Yet another update 11/29/19:  Still communicating with Fitbit about this issue -- still no solution other than they now want me to reinstall Fitbit connect -- I do not see the point in doing this since I can manually sync my Fitbit One and automatically sync my Aria scale, and I can do this with or without the dongle connected to my iMac (which is a 2019 model with Catalina OS) so the computer is seeing both devices, which to me means that bluetooth is working.  I have come to the conclusion that the problem started when I did the last firmware update (i.e. the most recent update a few weeks ago).  So for now, at least, I can manually sync my Fitbit One but it will no longer auto-sync to my iMac and since this is where I log my diet data every day this is a bit of a pain but not doable.  From what the support group at Fitbit said, the app no longer auto-syncs to my iMac.  It is auto-syncing (i.e. 'all day syncing' to my iPhone 10  Fitbit app.  So that leads me to believe that whatever changed on the last firmware update for the Fitbit One has something to do with it not auto-syncing my data when I'm within 20 feet of my computer.  It has always done this since I purchased the device back in the spring of 2014 so, really, I would have to say that the firmware update changed something.  Maybe Fitbit can change this back???

I just noticed fb One hasn't been syncing.  The website says it hasn't synced since Sept 4.   Now that I think about it, I haven't gotten my Monday emails with "Best Day" in a while.   The time is also off since Daylight Savings time so when I go to bed around 11:15 and check my steps, it thinks its 12:15 am and has reset.  So I just went online to see my history and I have none!

I have a Windows7 computer and the bt dongle.  The w7 program FitbitConnectService.exe is running.  My PC has rebooted multiple times since Sept 4.   I couldn't find any instructions for resetting the One.  Will that help?

This scenario has been working for at least 5 years smoothly.  All of a sudden stopped.  I can't imagine what changed on my end.  Does the dongle just fail over time?    Or the One?

Just occasionally-it is working now just fine

I can't find the dongle!!!  I guess that would explain not syncing.  I can't imagine where it went.  I switched from wired mouse to USB mouse recently, but surely I would not have removed the dongle.  I have extra ports and would not need to.  Single user PC.  very strange.  I guess I'll try on phone or tablet.  Originally I didn't have those options.

Thanks.  I have this problem periodically, particularly after charging the One, and this works for me.

Thank you for guidance.  Didn't work for me.  But I turned bluetooth on and off and then it worked!
