Fitbit One not counting exercise tracked under exercise goals

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
I've been working out for some time but decided to track my activity today mid workout.
I pressed the button on my One and the timer started. I finished my workout and I pressed the button again to end it.
On my dashboard online it shows "activity record" for the 28 minutes I tracked my exercise.
However, on my app, it doesn't show any record under exercise tracking goals.
My goals were set up, etc. I've resynced and still nada.

Any ideas?
From what I read I assumed that if I recorded an exercise it should show up there automatically??

This is kind of silly though.
So I have to manually tell it I'm exercising-- but isn't that the whole point of the tracker-- and pressing the button to log the activity? I'm telling it I'm exercising already!
Also when I log my run manually, then it overrides my ACTUAL values! This is just backwards thinking.
Yes I understand that this works for exercises like yoga and such, but I get no credit for my run based/walked based exercise activity in the app. According to the app, I'm not meeting my exercise goals unless I manually enter them- which will override my actual data if I don't know the specifics.
Fitbit, you need to fix this for us One Users.

Also "tracked exercises" don't seem to sync with MFP unless manually logged- which then will double count the calories for the activity actually done + the activity I need to manually log, unless I put the calories as 1 ( won't let me put 0).

Well @Acmeloni_, if you put your tracker in exercise mode and go for a walk or run, when you sync your tracker after your exercise you’ll see a new entry on your fitbit.com activity log. The entry provides a summary of the activity's stats as well as a minute-by-minute graph.

When you're done with your workout, hold down the button until you see the timer stop and sync your tracker, afterwards you'll need to log into your fitbit.com dashboard and go to Log > Activities to see the activity. Note that you can't view activity details from the One in the Fitbit apps (as you saw in the other discussion).

When manually logging activities, your steps will be recalculated if you manually log an activity as the manually logged activity takes precedence over the steps you tracked while wearing your tracker at that point in time. For example, if I am wearing my One and walking and I reach 10,000 steps, then I go to the computer and manually log an activity that starts and ends at that point in time for say 1 hour, Fitbit will calculate how many steps you took and it may bring my step count to something below 10,000 steps. To clarify, activities should only be manually logged when you forget to wear your One

On the other hand, I'd like you to re-link the two accounts by doing the following:

1. Sign into your Fitbit dashboard.
2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.
3. On the left side of your screen click "Applications."
4. Under MyFitnessPal, click "Revoke Access."
5. You can then re-link the two accounts by going to http://www.fitbit.com/apps/myfitnesspal.

After relinking, you can verify that your accounts are syncing by using one of the following data points:

1. On Fitbit you can check for your meal summary and logged activities from MFP.
2. On MyFitnessPal, go to "My Home," then "Check-In." You should see your weight, Fitbit Steps, and Fitbit Sleep Minutes. There's a great post from
@PeterFitbit that might help explain why your calorie burn is doubled.

Have a great weekend!

But my original post... I was told to manually log the activity to make it count for tracked exercise... Even though I already tell my One to track, it apparently gives no credit toward the exercise goals- hence manually logging. MFP and Fitbit do link- my steps show up... But it doesn't post to Fitbit saying I did an activity unless I manually log it- but then it double counts the calories because of the manually logged activity being the extra calories I'll have to subtract.
