My One hasn't synched in a few days.
Here's what I've tried
1. Restarted the One
2. Turned off/on Bluetooth on my phone.
3. Turned off/on wi-fi on my phone.
4. Checked for updates on phone, Fitbit app, and One.
5. Tried synching on another device.
Nothing has worked. I think something's wrong with the One. Any ideas?
I am having the same problem with my One. I synced fine through yesterday. Today, my iPhone can't find it. My iPad and PC with dongle have the same problem. I even fired up my Fitbit finder app and it can't see my One either. Its almost like the Bluetooth isn't running on the One? The One looks fine. Plenty of battery and displays fine. Help??
My One stopped syncing yesterday. I have tried everything others have mentioned. I removed the device and have been trying to reinstall for the past two hours! Anyone get theirs to work?
So after a very long time on the phone with customer service, shutting off Wifi, Bluetooth, rebooting everything several times, trying to add the device about 20 times, they sent me a coupon for a new device...it is toast. Luckily I have another One (lost this original, bought second, found first). Hopefully this One will work again.
Well, add another useless Fitbit One to the pile. 35 minutes with customer support directing me through every step known to them to conclude with "we'll send you a discount coupon for a new device". I don't want a watch...so that limits things. And there seems to be issues with many of the other trackers based on the chat boards of syncing problems. They are costing me money and rewards at Walgreens by not having a working device until whenever I can find a decent tracker. Am I staying a Fitbit customer? Probably not...……...
Fitbit: Bring back the ONE! Some of us don’t want to wear a watch!!
Interesting was yesterday, 11/14, several hours after my call to customer service, out of nowhere, Fitbit One started syncing. Really? On its own? I did nothing to it after the phone call. So far, so good. This morning I had to manually sync it, but the app found the device with no problem and after several stop/starts, it did sync and it seems okay right now. Still find it interesting that it started all on its own. I will remain cautious. I don't think it's truly fixed.
Best AnswerI had the same issue. I finally got it to work. You MUST be on Wifi or it will not complete!!!
1) I deleted the "One" in my profile and deleted the Fitbit App.
2) I reinstalled the App and relogged in.
3) I took the charger and plugged it into the computer. I placed the One in the charger and held the button until it shut off.
4) I pulled the One out and restarted it by pressing on it until it came on.
5) In the app I added the One back in. It asked to confirm the code and I did. It connected and they are linked.
So far they are connected. One step at a time. I never had issues like this until the last app update. I hope this helps!
Oops - I accidentally posted on another message, but YOURS is actually the one I meant to reply to. This worked for me - thank you SO much!
Best AnswerThis has been an ongoing issue, based on what I'm reading here on the forums. I have the One, running firmware 6.64; the Android app, on a Galaxy S8 running Pie; and a Macbook Air, running OS Mojave. After the last app update in mid-October, the battery on my One went from a once-a-week charge to a 2-3x per week charge (again, search the forums here - many complaints of same). Earlier this week, the One stopped syncing to the app. I uninstalled & reinstalled the app. Based on some troubleshooting steps I found in the forum, I deleted the One from my account, which was a huge mistake, as I could not re-pair the One to my account thru the app or my computer, despite trying to do so several times over the last few days.
This morning, I was able to pair my device again, using the computer, and the device has synced via the computer without incident. But it is still failing to sync with the Android app, telling me "device cannot be found". The reviews for the app in the Google Play Store are full of complaints stating that since the last app update, the devices have not been syncing, and it's across all devices - not just the One.
Honestly, between the battery drains, syncing problems and issues with pairing, I think Fitbit is just trying to phase out support to the One & is trying to push everyone towards their newer, bracelet style devices. I already have a stylish Fossil smartwatch that connects to Google Fit, but I find that bracelet style watches/pedometers are not as accurate - they count arm movement as steps, and fail to count steps if your arm is immobile (e.g while pushing a grocery cart or stroller). I could hide the One on my bra strap or in my pocket, and it was more reliable in counting steps than my Fossil watch. But I will not buy and ugly Fitbit bracelet style when my One finally kicks the bucket - I will stick with my less accurate Fossil/Google Fit watch.
Here's a thread multi-page thread from these forums that discusses the issues with One failing to sync:

Not even this worked for me. I'm out of options. I hate to see my Fitbit go, but I'm not spending over $300 to buy one from Amazon.
Personally, I think we have a software problem.
Best AnswerAt least once a week my fitbit will not synce to the app on my iphone. It just keeps saying 'looking". All it does is drain the battery on my phone and the battery on my fitbit. It is very frustrating. I have tried re-starting the fitbit, tried turning off Bluetooth and even shutting off my phone and restarting it. Sometimes it fixes, other times it just fixes itself a day or so later. I think these gadgets are gimmicks. I am so tired of the irritaing issues with it. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I had the same issues until mine died. I am using my original One that I charged up and reactivated and it has been working fine so far (knock on wood). I do not want a wrist gadget...I place my One in an ankle holder, so I see steps...not hand movements.

Best AnswerI could not sync my Fitbit One for over two months. Finally followed lloveeyore78's instructions and I am now back to sync mode. Hopefully it will stay that way. Thank you so much for the advice.
