Fitbit One stopped displaying the battery level

How do I get my battery level display back on my Fitbit One?  It was there for years and now it is gone.

Hi, @Karen1122 , if you plug your Fitbit One in to charge you should see an icon indicating battery level.  If you don’t see it, press and hold the button on the One to restart and then the display should wake up.

 

You can also see the battery level in the app when you sync.  Battery level is not one of the stats available when you press the button and scroll through, although my recollection is that it will show if the battery level is very low.
