Fitbit Showing Incorrect Data in Budget Area

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
My Fitbit One is paired with My Fitness Pal with foods being logged in the latter. For the last few days, my dadhboard is showing highly inaccurate totals for calories consumed vs. burned in the Zone area, where it tells you if you are under budget, over budget or are "in the zone". The calories remaining is way off also. For example, my dashboard will say I am over budget, yet still tell me I have calories remaining to consume! That doesn't make any sense! On one day, it is showing I have eaten almost double the calories I actually consumed! It was bad enough when my Fitbit was previously showing 200-300 calories less left to consume than My Fitness Pal, (not sure why, either) but now I can't rely on the data in that part of the Dashboard at all and am getting really frustrated about it. Does anyone know what might be causing this to happen? Could anyone please suggest how I can try to fix these things? I would really appreciate some help here please! Thanks for listening! 🙂

It's Renebow again. I just posted the above post at 2:36 a.m. EDT and noticed that the time shown on my post is 11:36 p.m. Could this time difference be part of the problem?

Welcome aboard to our community @Renebow.  If you need additional information about the food plan I have shared this information for other user on this post. Perhaps it might help you.

Something else that might be affecting your calories is the configuration of your food plan. I believe this other post shared by @TandemWalker may give you more details.

About your concern with the timezone, I don't believe is affecting your calories, although its not out of the equation either. Make sure you have set the correct timezone on your Fitbit account.

1. Log into your fitbit.com dashboard and click the gear icon in the top right corner.
2. Select “Settings” from the drop-down menu.
3. Scroll down to the Time section and choose the time zone that best reflects your current location. You can also select 12-hour or 24-hour time display format here.
4. Sync your tracker to update your time zone.

It will depend which type of device you are using, but if you use a mobile device is better if you set the app in Auto-timezone. This can be found on your settings of the app by open the menu and select Account. In this section there should be another option of Configuration where you can change the timezone.

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around.
