Fitbit is counting grossly over counting steps.

When I synced my fit bit for the last time last night, it said I had about 19,000 steps which was accurate. When I go up this morning it said I had 36,476 steps yesterday. And this morning after only walking about 1000 steps it says I have about 45,000 steps. I have tried doing a hard reset by holding button down for 1 minute, but that doesn't help.

Is the Fitbit near a vibration source like a fan, dehumidifier, or even a computer CPU? It can see the vibration as steps and add false steps.
