Fitbit one counting phantom steps

Hi!

My one counted 14K steps overnight and I wasn't wearing the device. Is there a way to prevent this from happening and to adjust steps? I have never had this happen so I am not sure what's going on.

Thank you in advance!

Is the Fitbit is near a vibration source like a fan, dehumidifier, or even a computer CPU? It can see the vibration as steps and add false steps.

Mine is counting them when I'm wearing it. Just started doing this yesterday. Yesterday it said I did 65 floors and today it said I did 37 floors and the most I would have done today is 2

@Llbeaud Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for reporting the situation you are experiencing with One counting extra floors.

Are you still experiencing the same? I'd recommend performing a restart on your One. This should help if there is anything wrong with the device itself.

Also, please check this helpful article that explains why you get extra steps and floors sometimes. That should also help out.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy
