Fitbit one does not count steps accurately!

Hello
I've had the Fitbit One since March 2016. A couple weeks ago I sent it back for a replacement because it wasn't counting accurately. They said it was defective. Received the replacement this afternoon. I've went back and forth several times in the kitchen.. probably 100+ steps. It counted NOTHING! I've changed my stride.. my height up and down hoping this would work. Any ideas. Is there a way maybe to change the sensitivity of the footsteps? Idk
Thanks

Bonnie

I'm having exactly the same problem.  Tonight, after putting away some laundry, cleaning up the kitchen and dining room after dinner, and putting out the garbage, I had 9 steps!  Annoying.  Resetting it sometimes helps.  (I don't remember the exact procedure; look it up.)  Also, pounding the floor instead of "walking like a lady."  My husband, who is 185 pounds and who tends to stomp around, never has this problem.
