Fitbit one not synching

Hi, I have a Fitbit one and this afternoon it stopped synching. I have 9, 129 steps today and when I open the app on my iPhone to sync it it says 4, 233, with only 9 floors, 1.89 miles and 0 minutes. The Fitbit says 27 floors, 4.07 miles. It says my last synch was at 2:44 PM today, but I have opened the app on my phone several times today and it won't synch.

Mine stopped syncing today as well.  I've restarted my fitbit twice (one of the things suggested) and downloaded an update and then rebooted my computer.  It is telling me I don't have an internet connection.  Which, of course, we can see I do since I'm writing this.  Tried moving my dongle to a different port as well.

is the moon out of sync?? My fitbit one stopped syncing at 8:15 this morning...tried restarting but got no where at all....have over 6900 steps, according to my one tracker, but the program on pc only registers 179 steps....any suggestions???

Well at least I'm not alone in this.  Mine stopped at 3:45 this afternoon.  I haven't tried reinstalling the program yet.  I was hoping that doing an update would take care of that.

Have you had any luck with restarts? Have tried mine 3x and still nada..

I have fixed mine. I put it in the charger and held the button down until it read 6.01 or something like that and then I removed it and now it is working fine. the phone app started working as wel.

Nope.  I've restarted it four times and it hasn't helped.  I had this happen quite a while back and the restart did the trick.  This time it hasn't.

Trying to force a sync just tells me no internet connection can be found.

My fitbit One Dongle on my PC also stopped working today, worked fine yesterday. It is greyed out, shows up in the setting as working properly. I unistalled the software and installed it again, checked firewall and antivirus, nothing there blocking it. Did a trouble shoot and it says the dongle is an old usb 2.0 and is incompatable with usb 3.0. The dongle has been in the sme usb port all along and there has been no problem.

You may have to hold the button down for 20 seconds, I held mine down for about 13 seconds and I got the 6.01 message. Be sure to hold the button down until you see it. Make sure the Fitbit is in the charger and plugged in when you do it. When you get the message, remove the Fitbit.

my dongle was working until 3:15 this afternoon.  I was having trouble getting the app to sync to my WW account and was doing manual syncs for that, but at least it was downloading on its on to the fitbit dashboard.  Mine also shows the port working properly.  I can use that port to open files on a card reader so I know it is working.  I haven't upgraded my computer in the past four hours and haven't received any dongle incompatibility messages.  What a hassle.

Tried plugging into charger and holding down button....showed battery level
then went dark....after 50 seconds..still dark...never got the 6.o1
message...sent customer service an email...said maybe 2 days to answer...so
not expecting much until Monday.... 😞

Back to say that I uninstalled Fitbit Connect and then re-installed it. Working fine, at least for now. And it seemed to pick up all the missing data from the device.

I just bit the bullet and did the uninstall reinstall.  At first when I tried to sync it said it couldn't and to make sure it was by the computer, that the internet was working . . . then I hit retry expecting to see the same screen again.  Wow.  It actually synced.  So for the moment, my 11122 steps are showing on my dashboard - but it didn't automatically sync to my WW.  I still had to do that manually.  Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow.

earthchild - I think you have to release the button and the repress the button to get it to restart.  The long hold down turns it off.  The short one turns it back on.
