I have been using a FitBit One since May 2012. My first one wore out, the second one I lost and the third one is no longer syncing - it's still tracking but I'm sure it will be a matter of a short time before that stops. I had an Alta and have a Charge but I do not like wearing them on my wrist. So I'm sure I will find another alternative but I'll miss my One. I feel like I'm loosing a friend and I'm very sorry that FitBit is no longer offering the smaller devices. The wrist trackers are not for me. All I want is a simple step count without all the other distractions.

The Inspire has a clip. It's just like the one. Check it out
I love mine

It's comes as a wrist model but the plain Inspire fits it the clip that's sold separately.
The HR model will not fit in the clip

Best AnswerI have a Mac - running Mojave. Haven't had a problem until the last week or so. Thanks for info
Best Answer@McChris, I know how you feel about your One!
I recently lost mine after 6 years! I felt like I was missing a part of me without it that I went overboard and bought a "new" One from Ebay and an Alta HR. You can buy a third party clip for the Alta https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B074349YHT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The Inspire also has a clip option but I liked the sleeker look to the Alta.
The One is still my fav and I now use a pedometer lanyard to make sure I don't lose it. what a nerd!
Have you read about the battery replacement for the One? You'll find it on Williger's posts.
I'm in the same boat McChris. I was an early adopter and this is how Fitbit rewards my loyalty.

So goodbye Fitbit. But I can't say "my friend". A friend wouldn't treat us this way.

Best AnswerI agree. Shame on FitBit for getting rid of a great option. Like you, I joined in 2012. I've lost and re purchased. I've washed and they replaced. I've purchased 'new' ones on Ebay that turned out to be crap. Now I'll have to leave them, as I've sat here for over an hour trying to sync both mine and my husbands, with no luck.
Yep, shame on you FitBit, for making us advertise your product by wearing them on our wrist.
I thought you would all find this interesting. There was an update to my FitBit One and it has now synced all the way back to May 14th - although I did lose 5 days. So, it's interesting because it wasn't the hardware, but the software - hmmmm! I was still using it because it was still tracking and I was manually writing down the numbers at the end of the day. I hope it lasts!
Best AnswerWith any new firmware update, @MadelinesGrammy the Fitbit app will prompt the user. I haven't heard of an update to the One since last year, however last week the app got updated.
Best AnswerIt was just an update that showed up on my iPhone 8 through the App Store 2 days ago. Shows Version 3.1. It's working great right now.
Best AnswerSo as suspected, @McChris. this update was for the Fitbit app and has nothing to do with the Fitbit One. Here is where the confusion comes in.
I'm happy that as expected things are getting better.
