I am selling my fitbit one and want to get it erased and reset for the new person. How do I do that?

No data is associated with your tracker. It's all linked to your account. All you need to do is delete it from your account. In the app, click on the tracker, which will open the devices menu. Click on the tracker again within the menu and you can click on the trash can in the upper right corner to delete it.

Yes, no problem with that at all. Just make sure to sync before you delete it to make sure that all your on line data is right up-to-date.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @sliman ! I'd recommend restarting your Fitbit One at least twice in a row.
Once you've done this, try testing your buddy to see how it goes this time.
Happy stepping!

Hey you @baggie0105 ! Hmmm...try logging out and logging back into your app and go for the set up as a new device process afterwards (you can try restarting it once more just in case).
Let me know the good news!

@CConnor, I'm not sure if things have changed, but you *should* still be able to link it to a new account. I would suggest trying to set it up and if doesn't work, give your friend a call or whatever and ask them to disconnect.

Yes my friend @CConnor, as @MakMak said.. you should be able to connect your friend's Fitbit to your own Fitbit account.
If you're using an Android mobile device running Android Marshmallow, you must grant the Fitbit app access to certain features of your mobile device in order to set up, pair, and sync your tracker.
Note that the personal information you’re asked during setup is used to calculate your basal metabolic rate (BMR), which helps determine your estimated calorie expenditure. The information is private unless you go into your Privacy settings and opt to share age, height, or weight with Fitbit friends.
To get a better explanation, see this video to get the setting up step-by-step.
Hope this helps!
