I have had my Fitbit One since 2014. I used it a couple of years and then put it aside. I want to start using it again and track my progress with the dashboard, but would like to delete all of my old data and start fresh. And use my same email address. Is there a way to do this?
I know that I can delete specific data entries but this would not work for me - it would entail deleting data for a couple of years, day by day, entry by entry, I assume. I am looking to delete all the old entries quickly and easily.
Or - Can I just delete my account and create a new one right away with my same email address?

There is an account deletion process but it takes a long while. See: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1285/
The easiest way is to set up a new account and add your One as a new device. The tricky bit is the email address. You can't have more than one account using the same address so you'd need to set up a temporary email account and change the email address in your fitbit profile to that. You can do this via: https://www.fitbit.com/user/profile/edit Once that's gone through you can set up the new account using your original address.

Hello,
I have the same problem and I'm wondering if you need to delete your account and wait 7 days before creating a new one with a different email and changing it, or can you do it straight away without deleting our account?
Thank you!

Also I've set up the new account and changed the email but it says the email is invalid even though I've checked so many times that it is right. Do I need to wait 7 days?

@SunsetRunnerYou should be able to set up a new account at any time as long as the email is different
