How to return an item

I recently bought the fitbit1 thinking that I needed to purchase the charger, clip and wristband too (but they were already included in the box).

 

Now I have 2 sets of chargers, wrist band and clips but would like to return the spares.

Someone from customer support said that they only issue a return label for damaged items and suggested I keep the spares!!

 

My issue is this: why should I keep them when they were purchased within 45 days and I'm guaranteed a return regardless- according to their policy below:

My extra items are not opened and still sealed. 

Has anyone been through this?

If you are unsatisfied with your purchase from Fitbit.com for any reason, you have 45 days from the date of purchase to request a full refund. You may return any Product (as defined below) purchased on Fitbit.com in accordance with the terms below, excluding subscription purchases such as Fitstar and Fitbit Premium.

To qualify for a refund, all the following conditions must be met:

A return authorization must be requested from our customer service team within 45 days of your purchase date. To request a return authorization, please contact Customer Service here.
You must return the Product to Fitbit to receive a refund. Returned Product(s) must be in good physical condition (not physically broken or damaged). All accessories originally included with your purchase must be included with your return.
The return authorization number must be included along with your returned product.

I would try and contact them again and include the 45 day return policy

Thanks for your reply.

Contacted customer support again and they were really helpful . Seems like someone in customer support didn't understand their refund policy. Offered full refund. Very happy customer.

Did they provide you a return label OR did you have to pay for the return label yourself? 

 

I am having a similar issue with my Fitbit Blaze.

Hi

Fitbit provided excellent customer service after the initial glitch.

They said there was no need to return extra items 🙂
