Hi
my Fitbit stopped syncing about 7 days ago to the app & it’s taken until today to get it working. If your having the same issue then try this.
1st remove the unit from its cover & attach it to the USB cable, then either connect it to the pc or mains socket.
2nd while connected press & hold down the button for 15 seconds till the unit powers down completely.
3rd count to 10 then press the button till the unit comes on, if it doesn’t then remove it from the usb attachment & press down for 3 seconds to power on.
4th open the app, turn on the Bluetooth & either press sync or if the unit has disappeared then select add new device & select your model. The app should now find the unit and start syncing.
Bear in mind you may lose the recent data that wasn’t synced prior to the app not working but at least the unit will now sync fingers crossed it will now work like mine.
Good luck
If you can sync to your pc that means the unit has reset itself.
The only thing I can think of is to delete the app ,shut down & restart your iPhone then re install the app.
Then it go in to the app and try adding the device.
Fingers are crossed it will find it.
Best AnswerHey, my Fitbit also stopped syncing, which I found out was due to the most recent iPhone update at the time. There has since been a new update, and now I can sync again... except I have no step tile - and can’t for the life of me work how to get it back. (No the edit button doesn’t work - there is no step tile to choose from)
Best AnswerHi
even with the latest iPhone update it can cause a issue with the app. The only thing I can suggest if you haven’t already tried, is to log out of the app then delete it, restart your phone then re download the app and log back in.
For some reason the iPhone updates are causing a problem with the Fitbit app.
if that doesn’t help you may need to do a factory reset on the unit.
Best Answermmm you are right. I deleted the app, re downloaded it and was also told to try removing the device and re adding it.... except now it won’t sync to re add the device, so... I’m left with nothing.
How di I reset factory settings?
Best AnswerHi
if you see my first post at the start this will guide you how to do a factory restart of the unit.
then try logging back in to the app and re connect your device.
