LOST Fitbit one

Hi,

i lost my fitbit about 6 weeks ago.  It is almost certainly dead as it had a low battery and hasn't synced since the exact date / time I last had it.  Will any of the blue tooth tracker apps work if it's dead?  I've pulled the house apart looking for it.

many thanks for your help

Welcome to the forums!

I am so sorry you lost it. If its dead the Bluetooth finders will not pick it up.

Did you check your car as well?

Contact support they will offer you a discount on a new one

@shelltyrrell I hope you're doing well! Have you looked near your laundry? Sometimes these clip-based tracker will wind up in the dirty clothes pile. Did you misplaced it at your house? It may be near there!

Keep me posted!

@shelltyrrell,

Assuming you sync your Fitbit with your phone...

Check if you have an app that tracks your Bluetooth device connectivity.  I have a Lumia 950 and it has a 'Gadgets' app.  This tells me when and where that device was last connected, and I can even tap on it and it'll give me directions to that location:

Next, I would take a look at your activity page, specifically look at the last day you had activity and:

  • Look at the time your step activity stopped, which day and what time on that day did it stop?
  • Similarly look at your flight of stairs, did you climb a few flights of stairs before you arrived somewhere?
  • Did you have subsequent syncs after your activity stopped?  In other words, were you last steps at 12:30pm and your last sync at 1pm?  If so, you were probably sitting down at the time you lost it.

So look at all this and reflect back on what you were doing at that moment (check texts and facebook posts).  You may be able to figure out what you were doing at that time (having lunch with a friend?) and find your Fitbit.

Lastly, I would label my Fitbit.  I've labeled mine (and friends') with a Brother p-touch labeler and it looks like this:

This way if anyone finds it, they can contact you.  We've had four happy returns this way.

I hope this helps.
