Lost Fitbit One

I've lost my fitbit 😞 previously I could track it down by going to the track exercise option in the app, and selecting the time clock. It would locate my fitbit via gps, and I'd know it's location. It worked when i left my fitbit work and I was at home.. I knew where to find it. But now when I do that it appears to be tracking my phone's location, not the fitbit. Why?! Can I change that?

Thank you for the info. I had tried that as well with no such luck. It's a bummer the GPS changed to tracking my phone instead of the location of my fitbit. So if I was to go for a walk and leave my phone at home,  only have my fitbit, the walk wouldn't record accurately.  It would look like I never moved..
