Lost steps

I moved from eastern to central about 7 months now and I just figured out how to change my time zone, for a split second it showed the correct steps, the day didn't end and the steps were still being taken, which was great (because since I moved it would end the day at 11pm), but then it flashes and I lost about 2000 steps. I shouldn't have lost any steps because I started 7am so it is not the steps from the day before. Plus I'm doing a challenge and it is not like it put the steps over to today. The steps are gone, I can't see it in the challenge either.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Sho_1590! I hope you're doing great

Let me help you out, by any chance have you manually logged an activity?  when you manually log an activity, its step and calorie data override the data automatically detected by your tracker during the same time period. This ensures that your steps are not counted twice as long as the manually logged activity has the correct start time and duration. I also recommend performing a restart 2 or 3 times in a row.

Let me know how it goes!
