Manually entered steps not displaying in challenges

I forgot my tracker today but my husband had his so I entered the number of steps from his Fitbit. They display on my dashboard but not in my weekend warrior challenge. How do I get that to happen?

You can not. Manually enter steps will never show in a challenge. They must be pure fitbit steps

 

They also do not go towards badges
