My One won't turn on

Hello,

So I left town for half a year and I forgot my Fitbit at home Smiley Sad, now I come back to find out it no longer turns on. I have left it to charge for more than 8 hours and tried turning it on with no positive results.

I have pressed the button for 20-30 seconds and tried resetting but it's unresponsive. What could have happened?

Thanks in advance for your help

Hello,

I have tried those steps, pressing 3 times within 8 seconds, but it still doesn't turn on.

What else could I try?

Thanks for your help

Is it still under warranty? According to this article (not specific to Fitbit), if you leave lithium batteries at 0% for an extended period of time they won't take a charge anymore. http://www.howtogeek.com/169669/debunking-battery-life-myths-for-mobile-phones-tablets-and-laptops/

Hey there @dponi thanks for the update! Have you tried cleaning your charger contacts? You can do this by using hand sanitizer and a tissue or dampen a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol and carefully clean the charging contacts. Please make sure that the charging contacts (gold dots) on your tracker align with the gold contacts on the inside of the charger. When you hear a click, you will know your tracker has been properly inserted into the charging cable. To ensure a fully charged battery, leave your tracker in the charging cable for at least 90 minutes. I also noticed my friend @Baltoscott provided great information to help you resolve your issue but I don't think this should affect the One battery since I didn't use mine for almost year and a half and when I charge it, it was working.Smiley Wink

Hello,

I have cleaned it as per your instructions but still no luck. When I charge it it does make the click sound so I know it should be charging. I purchased the first item on 2013 (this is a replacement), so I guess it's no longer under warranty, right?

Have a great day and thank you both for your suggestions

Hi @dponi. It's probably dead. But since you have nothing much to lose at this point, plug it in again into the charging cable and to a powered USB port on your computer and hold the button down for as long as it takes to bring it back to life - 60 to 90 seconds should do it - and see what you get.
