My Fitbit one no longer displays a pending alarm even when one is set. The alarm does go off but it is not displayed. I am using the IOS app to set the alarm.

Hi and welcome to the Fitbit Community @Rmraymond

I'd like to ask you some questions so that I can get a better understanding of the situation. Where exactly are you not seeing the alarm? Is it on the tracker's screen or on the iOS app? When did this start? Was it different before?

Look forward to your response so that I can continue helping you.

Hello and thanks in advance for your help.

I'd like to ask you some questions so that I can get a better understanding
of the situation.

Where exactly are you not seeing the alarm? Is it on the tracker's screen
or on the iOS app?

- I don't see the alarm on the tracker screen. It used to display the alarm
after the time was displayed. The alarm does display when it goes off.

When did this start?

- I suspect it started around the time IOS10 was launched, but I am not
100% sure. It has been this way for over a month now.

Was it different before?

- Yes, before when there was a pending alarm the tracker would display the
pending alarm after the clock. Now the pending alarm is never displayed.
The alarm does display when it goes off.

Thanks,

Thank you so much for replying back @Rmraymond!

In this case I want you to try some quick steps to try and get this resolved. Please try the following:

1. Turn off any alarms you currently have set on your account and then sync your Fitbit.

2. Restart your Fitbit One by plugging your charging cable into your computer.

3. Plug your One into the charging cable, making sure that the gold contacts on your tracker align with the gold contacts in the inside of the charger.

4. Hold down your tracker's button for 10-12 seconds.

5. Remove your tracker from the charging cable and press its button until the screen turns on.

6. Turn the alarms back on.

7. Sync your Fitbit to your account once again.

After following these steps, the Fitbit should start working normally and displaying the alarm once again.

Please let me know how it goes! Smiley Very Happy

I followed the instructions, but Fitbit still does not display the alarm. The alarm does go off but it does not display. I tried attaching a pic and video to show that I have an alarm set and that it is not displayed, but can't do it. Normally the alarm would be displayed after the clock when cycling through the display on the fitbit. The thing is the FW on the Fitbit has not changed but the IOS has. I suspect this started with IOS10. I also have a problem where alarms do not go off when more than one alarm is set. I haven't investigated this fully but that is the general idea. I also suspect this started around IOS10.

Hi @Rmraymond! Thanks for reaching back.

In this case I'd recommend that you get in touch with our Customer Support team. They will be happy to help you.

As for what could be causing the alarms to not show, or go off, I don't think the iOS version could really affect what the tracker will display.

Please do let me know how it goes!

Has this been solved? If so, could somebody please point me to the solution?
Or did everyone finally give up due to the lack of response from Fitbit?

Thanks!

I had a call with Fitbit support way back when this issue first started and
they said that the alarm was functioning as designed.

You have to dig through the app to find the best feature of the Fitbit, the
vibrating alarm. There is no other way to know if the alarm is set. I
usually set a backup alarm on my iPhone in case the Fitbit didn’t sync or
something got messed up. It’d be great if they could display the alarm
again.

Thanks, @LanuzaFitbit, for your reply.  Has the team been working on it for the whole 2+ years since this issue originally surfaced and received a flurry of attention on the forum? (https://community.fitbit.com/t5/One/silent-alarm-not-showing-on-tracker-but-showing-AS-SYNCED-on-PC/...)

Is there anyway to track the status of it?Is there a “case number” to reference if one were to contact tech support?  As you may sense, I’m not feeling all that confident that a solution is being pursued in earnest.

Thanks,

Mark
