Re: What has gone wrong with the fitbit One?

My Fitbit One will not sync and is also reading 6.64 when I try to restart it.  Mine has not been sitting in a box and is on my person pretty much most of the time.  This week I have lost about 30K in steps through it not synching!  It has only just started misbehaving, can anyone please help?

Thanks

Hello @HellesBelles the 6.64 is telling you the restart was good.

If your having syncing issues, we will need to know what type of device you sync through. Otherwise I'll point you to the help docs.

Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Try these troubleshooting steps if your device is not syncing

Nothing posted works.  I tried all choices and there is no longer a way to link the fitbit ONE. I suspect that FITBIT no longer supports this device.

@SunsetRunner Correct. Fitbit discontinued manufacturing the One units a few years ago. Integrated batteries die after a few years, whether being used or sitting in a box. If you're handy with a soldering iron, you can replace the battery with an aftermarket one or simplest is purchasing a new tracker. The Inspire is closest in shape/functionality. Cheers!

Yes Fitbit has discontinued the Fitbit One. That happened at least two years ago yet every tracker, aside from the Surge, in my screen shot had received an update last year, even with every one being discontinued plus my screen shot shows that the One is still able to be setup.

But why should syncing my One be affected? I finally got the long, green 'syncing' line but it does not complete. This is an advance from not getting the sync line at all but this is frustrating.

When I have glitchy problems with my One, I "Force Stop" the app, and that usually (well, most of the time) solves the problem I'm having...

So frustrating

Hi, so after my "Help" post I tried all of the suggestions to restart it and it worked.... until today that is.  I played a round of golf this morning and no steps were recorded Man Sad:mansard: It seems I will need to plug the One into my Mac everyday to reboot which is annoying.  I guess it's on its last legs.

So sorry to hear this. I don't know what I'll do when mine no longer
works. I love that it just slips into my pocket!

Have you tried calling Customer Service? They might have a solution for
your problem that the Community doesn't know about....

Crossing my fingers for you....

I am also having a syncing issue. My fitbit is actually tracking the steps but it will NOT sync the data to my phone (Galaxy s8) and the app says it cannot locate my fitbit.

I'm certainly no expert, but if using "Force Stop" doesn't solve the problem, I'm usually told (with this and other apps having problems) to uninstall and reinstall the app.

If neither of those works, I would contact Fitbit Customer Service...

Good luck.  Smiley Happy

That is what I am seeing as well. My tracker is working fine. Sometimes it
syncs and then does not and loses any synced data.

Exactly! It worked until June 2 and now sometimes it syncs and sometimes
not. When it does not sync I lose any data already synced.
