Glad to hear others are having the same problem. I wondered why all of a sudden my One won't hold a charge.

Now my Fitbit One will not sync. Has not updated with phone or iPad all day. Help!!!

Since this issue started, my battery was lasting at least a day, now it went from a full charge to a half charge within hours. Things are getting worse instead of any improvements being made. And now it won't sync at all.

What your company is failing to understand is that many One users are early adopters and helped you build the Fitbit brand. To leave us twisting in the wind on a serious problem on top of killing off the One with no equivalent replacement is a serious slap in the face to us.
Speaking only for myself I must say, "Message received."
Exactly right. I gave up and bought a different kind of tracker from another company. I'd have stayed loyal if the company had been more responsive and I felt confident that they were going to replace the One with another similar tracker. I don't want to wear one on my wrist.

Which tracker did you buy? Is it a clip on?

I bought a Leaf Urban by Bellabeat. It's not ideal for a competitive athlete but it seems fine for my purposes so far. It can be worn as a clip, a bracelet, or a necklace. Designed for feminine presenting people, though, so won't be everyone's best choice.

Thank you. That's a good price. The Leaf was more expensive (a bit more than the One when I bought it several years ago) but looks like an attractive piece of jewellery, can be worn multiple ways, is water resistant, and includes multiple alarms. It tracks steps/ activity/ sleep/meditation/stress sensitivity/ reproductive cycle and seems to adapt quite well to the wearer. You can also get a companion app. that acts almost like a personal trainer with specialized recommendations for improving your health. (I haven't tried that so have no idea about whether it works.) It does not have a display screen, which I miss, but on the other hand, it syncs very easily to the phone, more easily than my One did. It also does not have to be charged! You change the battery out every six months or so. So far I find it at least as accurate as the One. It does not track heart rate, etc. so would not work for someone seeking that feature.

Agreed 100%. Fitbit, you have had a MONTH to fix this issue. You have said the One is discontinued--and a month later, nothing has been done to fix this issue. You should be up front with what is going on.

I am having problem with Fitbit One keeping a charge. I am having to charge it every three days. I used to be able to charge every 2 weeks.

I'm really disappointed that they've decided to discontinue the One. If they told us they were working on a new and better clip on I might have remained loyal. But under these circumstances, I'm outta here! 😉

Have any of you who were sent a replacement One (probably refurbished) and found that the replacement unit kept a charge any longer than your original One and solved the problem?
I'm feeling so frustrated. I tried to contact the tech reporting department of The NY Times to see if they would pick up on this fiasco, but have no response. Does anyone have any press or blogger contacts that would investigate and report on this story?

@KittyKatKris @Bronxgal @Fitterme - if you are having problems with your One holding a charge since the iOS update, turn off "all-day sync" in the fitbit app. Since I did that, my 3 year old One went from less than 2 days to about 5.5 days before getting the low battery warning.
I'm am sure Fitbit will get this sorted with the next update, but in the meantime, it works fine with all day sync off -- your steps will update when you open the app, instead of syncing periodically in the background.

It's been a month since FitBit made our Ones dysfunctional. The 'engineers' can't find a way to correct this in all that time? However, FitBit has found the resources to introduce new more expensive products which they are advertising on Facebook. I suggest if we all post about our dissatisfaction in the comments section of the FB ads for Iconic and Flyer, it might motivate FitBit to fix this mess.

When is this issue expected to be fixed?? I, like everyone else, lost charging length after that last update. I am charging nearly everyday which is a pain because I use it at night to track sleep as well as in the day.
