Same here - I've loved my One device for five years now and since this last update it's not working well. The charge drains out very quickly - I'm needing to charge it practically every day. Please fix this problem. I do not want to get a watch type device because I dislike wearing watches.

I spoke with a supervisor yesterday and he said that the tech team is working on a fix and trying to understand what caused the problem. he acknowledged that it is not an individual fitbit issue.  i've had mine for 4 yeas and this is the first real issue - that's pretty good for $99.

i know how much we all depend on our  fitbits but why get so angry?  tone it down, it's just a helpful device, not a major threat to world peace.

...because i rely on the one - it's been instrumental in helping me lose 100 lbs.  when it dies in the middle of the day with no warning, i've lost all my info for the day.  it's fine is yours isn't important to you, but they are important to a lot of people, not to mention a $100 item that isn't working as promised with no fix in sight.  we've also lived through this when the aria stopped syncing after comcast updates.

Yes, as annoying as this is, if one NEEDS their FitBit to be correct, then wear their smartphone or put it in your pocket. It also measures steps. Until this is sorted out, that might be an option for some.

This is affecting ALL Fitbit devices so buying another one would not help you here.

Ok, charged on 1 September, it went yellow on the 5th, which is close to normal. It went red this morning, the 10th, also pretty close to normal. I did the reset with my Fitbit plugged into my laptop. Three times in a row. Then I turned OFF all day sync on both my iPad and iPhone. I no longer get notices when it hits RED, and it is taking a little longer to charge since the app update. If this continues. I can live with it. I do want a fix so I can get notices for RED, and turn my alarms back on. I relied upon them. I don't want a fancy wrist model. Most of them do not have all the features of the One. I like the step, stairs and sleep tracking. I get a bonus from my health insurance provider if I share the information collected by the One. It not working is frustrating.

I am having the same issue and was relieved to see that it's wasn't my one but instead the latest update

It's the new update ... my Fitbit one is barely 3 months old and I'm also having this issue post the latest update ... used to go a full week with one charge now having to charge every 2 days. Very upsetting

Yes my fitbit One is not keeping a charge and is having a hard time uploading.  Is there a replacement battery? Is there a cure for the problem yet? I have had 5 fitbits and have encouraged all my clients to purchase them and befriend me so I can coach and encourage them...

Is there any update on the fix? I'm using a relatively new One (purchased in July) but I have been a Fitbit user since 2012. I was getting 10 days to 2 weeks out of a charge. Now I'm getting about 2-3 days max. I've tried all of your "fix" options suggested but nothing makes a significant difference - as I said its maybe 3 days life at best now.

My One dashboard shows that it was synced this morning at 8:21 with a full battery status, but when I checked my One 2 hours ago, it had died with no low battery warning. I've plugged it in and followed the procedure to do a restart quite a few times, with no luck. I've got nothing to lose, so I'll leave it plugged it, hoping it comes alive again at some point. It's almost 4 years old, so I've got my money's worth out of it, but I don't want to buy a new tracker that needs to be worn on my wrist!

Fitbit is obviously still having issues with this.

I guess we just be patient.

You might want to try calling/emailing their customer service though.

The cynic in me suggests the slow response to fixing this problem may be a measure to move people off this device and onto another product.  Whether true or not, the slow response does not give me confidence to buy another of their products. If there is a deliberate effort to churn folks onto a different product, it is most disappointing and would demonstrate contempt for their customers.

So so my question. How long until there will be a fix to this problem?  I used to be able to get away with about a week between charges. Now it needs it every day at least since 2.39.  How about an option to roll back?

There's an update to the Fitbit app (version 2.40) in the iPhone app store
as of a few hours ago that that has "bug fixes and performance
improvements". Hopefully it addresses this issue!

I just got off the phone with Fitbit customer service.

This is only happening to iPhone users who have the Flex and One.

hopefully this new update will address this issue.

iPhone App Update.  Just now.

Just downloaded the very recently released Fitbit One App update for iPhone from the App Store. Sync works fine, everything looks good.  Time will tell if it has resolved the battery draining issue.  Fingers crossed.

I did, and was told they are still working on it. I have not been told that the one is being discontinued, but someone, somewhere on the thread said they were told it was. So just biding my time, it sure is not convenient to not be able to sync at all, even when plugged into my computer instead of from my iPad. So who knows.

FitBit One is being discontinued but this issue isn't because of that.

As you may know by now, the new update is ready to to go.

Let's hope this fixes it.
