Try turning off your auto sync and resetting it. That seemed to help mine.

I just finished going to the apps page and found a whole mess of updates I needed to do, so started at the top, hit update, install and open, one at a time. By the time I was at my fifth update there was a flash message saying I had now crossed India, and as I had received similar messages for badges on fitbit, knew it was from my one. By the time I reached the fix for the one, it installed and opened no problem. Hopefully this will work for others. Good luck,
Heather James

The update made no difference to my One. I can't get the app on my Mac, could this make a difference? I mainly use iPad and iPhone.

That explains why I'm having problems with both my Flex & One

My 3-year old One went from a charge lasting 2 weeks to one lasting less than 4 days.  This occurred a week ago or so. I was just going to look at places to buy a new One (and what's with them discontinuing the tracker, fgs?) and found this thread.

I would also like to know what is happening and when Fitbit will solve the issue.  Interim information would be very helpful.

If I have a permanent problem, I need to find another tracker, whether a One or a competitor.  Data, please!

You need to fix this problem.  Over a month is not acceptable. Make this a priority, it's obviously a software problem. Also, are you no longer making a Fitbit I can carry in my pocket?  I gave up watches years ago, and will not buy one of your wrist devices when my One wears out.

Try going to apps, then updates for either iPhone or iPad, then start at the top of your update list and load them one at a time. When I finally got to the fitbit fix update, it finally loaded, when the wheel used to just keep spinning instead of loading, it finally installed and I was then able to open it. Hope this works for others.

I bought my fitbit in May of 2016.  Previously it would remain charged for 7 - 10 days.  Now it doesn't last a full 8 hours.  I can see that others have had the same issue.  Previously, I reported that it was not syncing all my steps - sometimes it misses two complete days. When will these problem be fixed?

Same issue - starting about a week ago my FitBit One can only hold a charge for a day or so when it used to go at least a week. I have not changed any settings on it or changed my usage pattern. Please fix it!

Have you updated the app?

Try deleting and and reinstalling app perhaps.  Keep all Day sync off.

My One is about three years old, and until this latest problem always held its charge for 10-14 days.  Now it is barely 24 hours, and not all steps are being recorded.  When I took it off to charge it after wearing it for an hour or so this morning it had 0 steps.  I turned off ADS a few days ago but it made no difference to the new terrible battery life.

I do not want a wrist worn tracker.  Before I had my One (and I have had a couple) I had an Ultra- anyone remember them? If my One continues to be beset by these problems I will be looking at other brands despite my longterm loyalty to Fitbit to date.  In the past I have had wonderful customer service from Fitbit, (such as having my tracker replaced when I lost it) and encouraged two family members to buy Fitbits as well.

Ok. I've taken your recommendation. I can understand how it could help the syncing issue but can't see how it would correct the battery issue. I'll let you know tomorrow

I know, the battery seems to be another issue altogether

I've been holding off replying to this board, but for me, the latest iOS version (2.40) seems to have fixed the issue. It's been since Friday since I last charged my One and the battery still shows 100 percent. This is different than it was under 2.39 for me, where my results were similar to yours.

I have just charged my fitbit one, so will see how long it lasts. Fingers crossed.

@VVS - turning off all day sync seems to fix the battery issue for many of us probably because the iPhone stops trying to connect in the background but only attempts to communicate with the tracker when you open the app.

I don't know if I have it on all day sync unless it is because I have the wireless connected.

I did take all day sync off but only added a couple of days to charge. Hope they find a fix for this. Have to watch my Fitbit One carefully so I don't lose my steps. Ugh....
