Steps being added when entering weekly excercise

This is new!

I wear my fitbit one on the treadmill and it counts the steps and distance. I then add the fact that I have had x minutes and miles on the treadmill to my weekly exercise in the app.

This has always been ok but the app now adds extra steps when I do this, almost doubling what I have actually done - it never used to.

The tracker did do a thousand odd steps in the washing machine recently - am I doing something wrong or do I need a new tracker!

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Hello @Sylveryjean when manually adding an exercise, fitbit will go with what has been entered and ignore anything the tracker has recorded.

Normally i would use the exercise mode (hold in the button until the stopwatch is seen) on the Fitbit One.. When finished, stop the recording and sync.

Now go to your list of exercises, tap edit and change it to treadmill.

Your step count change your seeing usually happens when the fitbit stride setting does not match the true stride of the user.
