Tracking progress

I am trying to track my progress in a mile. I can't figure out to edit my exercise to track my progress. I just want to stick in the distance when I actually do a run versus just exercising.

Thanks,

Shelly

Hi @srupracht. Here's what I do. I use the button on the side of my Fitbit One to start and stop the clock at the beginning and at the end of my walk. Once I sync, I get to see that particular walk/jog (I usually do intervals) as a separate event on my Activities Log page. This way, I can see my performance improvements for all instances when I used that same route. Works for me! Have a nice day.

Hello @srupracht it's great to have you here! 🙂 As @TandemWalker mentioned you can use the exercise mode on your tracker to keep a record of your workout. You can also use other methods, I would recommend to review the help article: How do I track my exercise and activities with Fitbit? and choose the one that fits your needs.

Let me know if you have any question! 🙂

Angela -

I understand how to use the tracking function on my HR.   Sometimes I just walk or run but, sometimes I actually clock my miles.  What I am looking to do is make notes in my tracker so that I can see my various times for a mile.  Can I or how do I do this?

Thanks,

Shelly

Hello @srupracht thanks for your reply! Currently this is not a feature on the Fitbit One, if you have a mobile device with the Fitbit App you can use MobileRun, this feature calculates distance, elevation, and pace for your walk, run, or hike. You can read more about Mobile Run on the help article: Can I track a GPS activity using the Fitbit app?

Let me know if this helps! 🙂
