Trouble Syncing

OK so I bought a new Fitbit One because the warranty replacement for my original One never worked properly. I had to reset it multiple times each time I wanted to sync it & more often than not I got an error message that it failed to sync properly. The battery would be drained by the end of the day so I wasn't able to utilize the sleep tracking feature.  It would rarely sync to my phone and I was told that was because my phone and my One weren't compatible.

I now have a brand new laptop (Windows 10) and a brand new One and I'm having exactly the same problems as I had with the replacement One that I thought was defective.

I had my 1st One for 11 months and 2 weeks and I can count the number of times I had trouble with it on one hand. I'd also like to add that my 1st One and my phone got along perfectly!

I am beyond frustrated right now! Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I really don't want to call Customer Service because the last time I called the rep I dealt with was rude and of absolutely no help.

I'm having a problem too.  My one refuses to sync to my PC dongle.  Even when I run the sync/Fitbit connect repeatedly it doesn't "find" it ("Be sure it's close to your computer" as if 3 inches to 3 feet isn't close enough). Then, suddenly yesterday morning it synced flawlessly. And today, it won't sync again. I shouldn't have to spend 15 minutes every morning trying to get it to work.  And fail!

All of my Classics and Ultras were perfect and swift.  No problems whatsoever. They'd sync within seconds.

Growl. I'd like a fix if there is one. BTW, I've been a Fitbitter for 5 years.

I am having the same problem with my Phone App and my Windows PC.  I never had any problems before this.  After reading this I am hesitant to go out and by a new one.  Frustrated, as I have spent way to much time on this today!

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. Maybe we could form a support group ... call ourselves "The Frustrated Fitbitters"!  Smiley Wink

Hi I had such issues with my charge for the first time in owning for about a month. I have an iPhone 6. Eventually solved by turning off the phone and back on and switching the Bluetooth off and on. Phone and device is ducking fine now.

Hi Neil .... thanks for the tip. 🙂 It worked great for me for 3 days and now today, out of the blue, back to not syncing again. It took 4 resets on the laptop before I got the "error syncing. Please try again." msg. 2 more resets after that  I'm synced.

It shouldn't be this frustrating! I could've added  2,000 steps in the amount of time I've spent messing with this during the last 30 minutes!

Fitbit's syncing to PC is absolute rubbish, and Fitbit either doesn't know or doesn't care how to fix it.

I was sent a replacement One after reporting syncing problems. A month or so in, it's not syncing again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Fitbit Connect. I have reset my tracker more times than I care to count. And right now my tracker is actually plugged into the dongle and still Connect tells me that it can't find my tracker. Even background syncing isn't working - my dashboard says that it last synced more than 90 minutes ago, and it still hasn't updated my step count.

If it wasn't for the fact that all my friends use Fitbit, I'd throw this piece of junk away and get a different (non-Fitbit) device, at this point.
