Trouble syncing

About 2 weeks ago my one stopped syncing manually entered exercise on my iPad. It allows me to enter the exercise bit will not sync it. I keep getting Try to sync again messages. It will sync everything else on my iPad.
It syncs everything in my laptop (including manually entered exercise). It does transfer that info to my iPad. I would like to be able to sync on iPad as that is the device I use most. Any ideas?

When manually adding an event, either through the app or web your adding this event to your account on Fitbit. When you add through the app, does it show up on the web?

Your try again message, sounds like a normal sync problem and should not be related to the manual add. A sync is not even needed for this process.

Since I'm not an iOS user the best I can point to is this doc.

Have you tried restarting the tracker, on the iPad turning BT off/on, or even restarting our shutting down the iPad.

I'm having a very similar problem with manually entered exercise on my iPhone not syncing. Except for me it seems to depend on the type of exercise entered - if I log a spinning session it syncs with no issues whatsoever, whereas body attack gives me a pink/red "(not synced)" message and doesn't count on the number of days exercised this week icon or appear on the web version. There's no issue in syncing with the steps, floors or any other features, just certain types of exercise.

Have you tried contacting tech support? I tried live chat, he was clueless. I tried phone, she was clueless! I've followed all steps on their help pages......uninstalled, reset my Fitbit and nothing has worked. I have to enter the exercise on my old (slow!) laptop and then it shows up on iPad. Very frustrating and I think I'm about done trying to fix it!
Have you had any luck or new info?

If you noticed when adding spinning This activity showed up in a drip down list that can be tapped on, while Body Attack did not show up. This will require you to create a custum activity for Body Attack, and will need to be done through the web at https://www.fitbit.com/activities

All of my "exercises" have been entered like that. For the past year I've had no problems. This issue began out of the blue about 3 weeks ago.

I'm the same - I had been successfully entering my body attack sessions on for months before this, and they always synced with no issues. The last time it synced successfully was 5th March, the next time I attempted to enter a session was 19th March and on that occasion (and ever since) it has refused to sync - and I haven't been able to manually force it to do so by restarting etc.

FitBit released a new version (2.2) of the app on the 10th March, which coincided with this. My guess is that its related to whatever changes were made in the programming at that time.

As an Android user I've never had the ability to enter a custom activity from the App. I could move this post to the iOS forum, it would be helpful if @SunsetRunner could edit the title to "Trouble entering a custom exercise".

Moving this to the iOS would give a larger exposure to the iOS crowd. There will be a link in the email notification.
