I love my One Tracker and I’ve had it a few years . I updated the Fitbit app on my phone and now my One Tracker won’t sync and shuts off . I tried everything that has been posted in the Fitbit Community . I know they discontinued the One Tracker but they said it would still be supported .
I’m very disappointed and believe this has been done on purpose so, we have to buy a new device . I do not like wearing watch style trackers and I’m sure there are a lot of people who agree. I’ve deleted the Fitbit app on my phone and will find another brand that will fit my needs .
Fitbit needs to be more honest with their customers .

Have you tried a restart?

Try restarting your phone. I was having the same problem, and that's what I had to do.

Have you included the phone model so that we might know how to assist you?

Thank you for the help in suggesting a restart of the One. However, I now have to do this daily to get it to sync. Am I going to have to do a reset everyday from now on to be able to sync?

@KM-M It's highly unlikely any manufacturer would intentionally make a device not work, nor do I know how that would be possible. Fitbit provides a nice service called mobile sync you can use with your cell phone for free just install the app from http://fitbit.com/devices Cheers!

When a manufacturer stops supporting a product, and there's a new update by my iPhone as my iPhone Xplus received, guess what? There's no longer communication between the devices. That's how it occurs that they make sure the product becomes obsolete. The know that the phones and computers platforms are constantly being updated. Then the customer becomes frustrated and does one of two things. The loyal customers buy another product from the same manufacturer or go to another manufacturer. Fitbit has a pretty loyal customer base. The Fitbit One is one of the oldest product lines and it's not really surprising that they would stop supporting this product - just frustrating to those of us who love it. 😉 Now to decide what to do as I don't think this is going to change.

You may want to contact Fitbit since as @Williger States Fitbit has not made any steps to disable the Fitbit One from syncing.

Thanks Rich_Laue, I already have contacted Fitbit Support. There's nothing that they can do. We went through the same steps that I did on my own and it didn't change anything, the same as others. Yes, they're still supposed to be supporting iPhone X and iPhone XS yet we still aren't able to connect so there's a mystery to be solved by the technical support department. Meanwhile....

UPDATE: (multiple string posting so pardon the repetition; want to make sure I pass this on where I've posted)
Apparently I was NOT restarting my ONE correctly and that made all the difference. I went out and checked to make sure that I was doing it correctly and found that I needed to insert it into my charging dongle, then hold the button for 10-12 seconds (which turns it off); remove it and press the button for 2-3 seconds to turn it back on. Then I returned to connecting my device and it gave me the 4-digit code and all worked.
Now to figure out how to get the correct display back; my steps, stair count, etc. have disappeared; all I have left is the cal count which the only thing that I really don't pay attention to of course! 🙂 lol

Are you kidding? Look back a couple of years on the help forums (unless they deleted it)...
They did this to us One users once before - with the battery. Our battery went from 2 weeks or more run-time to 1-2 days. Then all of a sudden there was an "update" to the app after we complained for I believe a month - and then the battery went back to normal.
Now this.........
One users cant help but think this is the next attempt to twist our arms into a new device.

Loyal but not gullible, wont be sticking with the company if this doesnt get corrected.

Sorry to say that I can not replicate your success. I wish I could but it just wont connect. I wish I could revert back to the previous version of the app but Apple doesnt seem to want us to have much control over that process with the latest iOS and iTunes.
Gotta love that we own these devices yet we cant do what we want with them.
Gonna start rethinking where my money goes.

My screen went blank but the Bluetooth was still syncing, prior to that the screen flashed up 'versa' which of course is not correct and it kept buzzing which turned out to be it 'recording sleep'. After multiple attempts to reset I contacted the support team who said there was nothing more I could do. After that conversation the blue tooth ceased to run.
They provided me with a discount code but have since advised it can only be used against the list price - the products are almost the same price in the current sale. What was the point of that.
I too have loved my One, but feel that it was an expensive product to only get three years of life from. My computer is much older than that and it didn't cost much more! Sadly these have become yet another disposable item instead of being supported for a more sustainable and environmentally aware lifespan.
PS The inspire doesn't have all the same functions and so would be a very poor replacement.

I still have my Fitbit one and one put away in case something happens to my current Fitbit one.i can not wear a wristband..it is so disappointing that Fitbit only have wrist bands..I bought my husband the zip,it is not as good as the One and we were both a bit hesitant about the zip having a button battery and it not having a screw in compartment for the battery so it is put away until the grandchildren are older Incase they get their hands on it..
