This is ridiculous. Since macOS Big Sur was introduced, I have had nothing but trouble with my One. Every time I run Fitbit Connect I'm told to turn on Bluetooth. Uh, Bluetooth is already on. Sometimes the sync works anyway, but most of the time I have to reboot my One, and/or delete Fitbit from my iPhone, and/or remove the One completely from my iPhone and/or from my Mac's Fitbit app and reinstall the account — and many times I have to do that repeatedly before it'll work.
Does Fitbit not care about us One users? Is this their way of getting us to upgrade to a wrist-based product? I don't want a wrist-based tracker; I want my One to work again.
Anybody listening on the Fitbit support/engineering team?

@FriscoPolack I am answering as a fellow Fitbit user. Community Council members aren't Fitbit employees. Fitbit Connect isn't been updated in some time. MacOS Catalina users describe the same problem. The newest trackers can only be set up on an Android/iPhone and Fitbit seems to be focusing attention on the phone apps.
Since you have the Fitbit app on your iPhone, you should sync your One with your phone. And you certainly don't need to upgrade to a wrist worn product as long as your One is working.

Well, I would sync my One with my iPhone if the syncing worked without jumping through delete-the-app-reset-the-One-reinstall-the-app-reset-the-One-then-try-it-all-again hoops.

@FriscoPolack I am very sorry to read about your syncing problems between your One and your iPhone. I browse nearly all of the forums to try and help users. I wasn't aware that there is an issue between the One and the iOS app. I'm sorry that I can't help you and the my first response hit a nerve.

Hi. I've been having the problem since Catalina, but was able to get around it in Catalina. Not so with Big Sur. I too would prefer syncing up with my imac rather than the iphone because it's clearer and easier on the computer (for me). Very frustrating, but I'm thinking they don't concern themselves with One users anymore?

Follow up to last reply. Chatted with fitbit assistant and they said no their products will not be compatible with Big Sur. Such a disappointment. He did say to try it on iphone or ipad but i'm not having any luck there either. If the ipad also upgraded to Big Sur, then i can't imagine why it would work. if you find anything out, please respond. i'm kind of addicted to this syncing.

Well, that’s a disappointment — but thanks for the update. I have been occasionally able to sync to my iPhone, but it always requires me to delete the Fitbit app and then reinstall it, and then rebooting the One, and crossing my fingers. Sometimes the magic works, sometimes it doesn’t.

oh my gosh really? i've just had two "chats" with the support group now and they said to uninstall and reinstall. but you've done that and it doesn't work. i guess it's time to get rid of my One. thank you.
