display of steps on matching set goal

My step goal is 7000 per day but although my steps exceed that number the graphical display does not show the "green" goal-met bar on the bar graph showing one week of daily steps.   How do I fix that?

Hover over the dashboard widget until the gear appears below it; Click it and double click the value you  wish to change, then press DONE at the bottom.

Your new goal will be set and show green for any day's you have made 7k steps! Good luck and keep steppin!

Thanks for your suggestion Base Runner.    Yes, I did that initially.  My goal number changed but the graphical display on my dashboard still thinks my step goal is 10,000.  ie.:  The 10,000 level has a dashed green line. Daily step totals of more than 7000 and less than 10,000 are not color coded green (meaning achieved).

I did change my goal but the dashboard display does not recognize my changed goal.

Did you also click the DONE button on the lower bottom right of the widget? Afte adjusting the value?

I just did a quick test in Chrome and it took fine.

This is another good suggestion.  I do understand the importance of doing every step in the "goal change" process.  I did go back and hit "Done" again just to make sure, and the 10,000 default goal line is still displayed.   I am making my change on a laptop (not any type of smart phone).... using Firefox.

There appears to be similar problems from posts dated 2014 where a 'bug' was identified that produced these results.  Perhaps that 'bug' is still active ??   I will post if the problem resolves itself... but so far, there is still a problem.

There is a tab for the weekly vs daily number. Oddly they do have different values. To get the weekly numbers, get the widget back into edit mode, click the weekly tab, and change the number from 70k to 49k, then press Done.

I am grateful for your kind, patient suggestions.  Yes,  in the tile that allows you to switch from steps to distance to floors etc, in that tile you can choose daily, weekly, or 28-day intervals.   However this tile is not the tile that permits goal changes.  In the step tile (elsewhere on the dashboard) there is no need to edit the weekly goal as you suggest.  My display shows 7000 daily and 49,000 weekly steps as my goal however the default goal of 10,000 is still marked on the graphical display.  Your suggestion did not work.  My problem continues.

On the Dashboard, the Activity Goals page, once you select edit, there is a very light tab in the back. Also you need to save the values on the daily, then the weekly. If you do both at the same time, only one value will be saved. See the images below for examples.

YES !!!   YES !!!!  Your posting of the image showing the "goals" panel led me to discover that I was not showing that particular panel on my dashboard.  I did launch the "goals" panel, played with it a bit, and now (tra-la) my goals do show properly.   Thank You.

I am not sure I could repeat the description of the process but your description worked.   The key was the image of the "goals" panel.   Nice work Base Runner.
