log in requirements to sync

Suddenly I get a message that I have to sign into either Facebook or Google Plus before I can sync my One on my PC (windows 7). There is no option to log into sync by using my Fitbit log-in!

I object on grounds of privacy. Any help is appreciated.

I also have to log in again on my computer Windows 7 after using my playbook. Now it tells me I have 2 fitbits. which I don't

I have the same problem - it says I have to log in when I "sync" and that I have two fitbits which I don't.

Welcome to the Community @EML1923@Diatoday and @Henrica! To fix this, I recommend clearing cookies and cache, trying a different browser is a good option as well.

Let me know how it goes!

The problem seems to have resolved itself without my doing anything.

I am still having issues syncing my FitBit One.  I have to place it directly on top of the dongle for it to stop giving me a product not found screen with directions.

This still has not been fixed @emerson.  The 'searching' icon has also changed on the screen-it started a new dancing circles about a week ago.  Since you said everything was fixed and closed the thread I came here.  I also sent in my log file as you requested 3 days ago and have heard nothing.

Hello there guys!  @EML1923 I'm happy to know that your One is syncing fine, let me know any news you may have about this. @nadasy I'm sorry for this inconvenience. Please proceed with restarting your One tracker and then provide us with a picture of the circle you get when you try to sync.

Looking forward to your reply!

Hi @nadasy. I've had that screen showed up on occasion. I just closed the window, sign-on and my One sync'd just fine. So basically, I just ignore that window and carry on.

I also object to logging in using FB.  I have all but closed that account and do nothing but look at grandchildren's photos.  I do not want anything personal attached to FB and I will deactivate my FitBit account if required to connect with FB and move on with another device or none at all and pay the extra for my insurance.  This is entirely too personally invasive for me.  It breeches the HIPPA law as far as I am concerned, and all privacy laws.  I too would like an explanation and a way around this.  This is way over the top and I will not agree to it.
