  1. Plug your charging cable into your computer.
  2. Plug your One tracker into the charging cable, making sure that the gold contacts on your tracker align with the gold contacts in the inside of the charger.
  3. Hold down your tracker's button for 10-12 seconds.
  4. Remove your tracker from the charging cable and press its button until the screen turns on.

Your tracker will now be reset. When you press your tracker's button you should be able to navigate through the screens as you normally would

Charged it again for at least 2 hours (it might not be charge even if it say it is)

Try to uninstall the windows store app

and reinstall the app. to upgrade to the new version and check if it pair with bluetooth

might do the trick

if not Call customer support's phone (877) 623-4997 between the hours of 4am-8pm PST Mon-Fri, and 6am-5pm PST on weekends, if you're in the USA.

Good luck

Did you resolve your problem? If not then if you have a lap top or that type of situation it should upgrade the software for the battery to show. Once it is charged you should be able to sync it. I had to turn the Fitbit software off then on again to sync it each time. You also have to have the blue tooth in there all the time or put it in and let the computer recognize it is in. If you have Windows 10 make sure you have the blue tooth turned on. Then go to the program and it should sync.

Hi,

Win 7 user here.

Was given a One by someone who gave up on fitbit once the sleep data was no longer useful so have had it about 2 months. It was 3 years old but works fine. Battery lasts about 10 days. I only wear it in the daytime as a pedometer.

Today, it started to vibrate at 5 p.m. and wouldn't stop. I took it out to look at it and the screen was blank. Thought maybe it was a RECHARGE ME warning so took it to the computer to recharge. It lit up in my hand at that point and once again in the charger indicating it wasn't badly discharged and told me the steps for the day.

I let it charge for 30  minutes. My dashboard says the last sync was 5:20 and that it is fully charged.

But now the fitbit won't turn on. It won't reset. It won't do anything. It seems to be dead.

I've tried the restarting instructions but I don't get the normal vibrate when I hold the button down in the charger. And nothing happens no longer how long I hold the button down out of the charger.

The fitbit software indicated it is up-to-date.

Am I out of luck? Did it just die today?

It just seems weird that so many people have dead Ones all of a sudden. Was there an update or something that might have messed things up?

It doesn't sound good. But have you checked with tech support? I would check with them just to be sure before getting rid of it.

I know, I'll have to bit the bullet and make a phone call. There was one case where it came back after 24 hours so I thought I'd wait that long just in case it overheated. It is hot here today but not insanely hot, nothing like it is in southern states so I'd be surprised if it overheated now.

In the meantime, I've downloaded an app for my phone so my steps are still being counted. Just not the ones around the house (cuz I don't have a pocket for my phone today.)

Tried again this morning and and the fitbit started up just fine and has now been reset.

The forums were helpful because they gave me the idea it might have overheated (although it was only 90 here yesterday and I was outside with it on for under an hour.)

The previous owner says it never did that before and she wore it all the time, night and day, and in her bra so in a hot and humid environment. She did say it required resets from time to time because it wouldn't sync and that's why she sent me to the forums to find a solution last night since, in the past, when it stopped working properly she discovered others with the same issue had posted here.
