Account with Charge 3 and ionic

Why can I not have charge 3 and ionic on the same account. works fine with charge 2 and ionic.

do I send my charge 3 back!

"Note that you can't connect multiple devices that use the Fitbit App Gallery to one account. For Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Charge 4, Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Inspire series, and Fitbit Versa series, only connect one of these devices to your account at a time"

So, Charge 2 and Ionic is fine, but Charge 3 and Ionic is not possible.

This is totally ridiculous!, I use my charge 2 during that day for work and doing thing during the Day etc. At night I use my iconic for socializing and going out. To have install charge 3 and then reinstall my iconic when I what to use it! This will lose Fitbit a lot of customers after using Fitbits for many years I can no longer recommend them to anyone! This problem is not mention in any documentation.
