Hi, I work mostly on a sewing machine and the " steps" add up quickly

Should I avoid wearing my fitbit until I actual go walking?

Depends on what you want to track - washing up the dishes gives good steps too. Fitbit does have a tendency to give steps for other activities, pretty unavoidable given the way the sensors work, but I'm happy to think of it as equivalent-activity. I get far more upset when I've been working hard on an activity and it gives me no steps!

Thanks, I've  avoided wearing my fitbit as I feel it will keep me honest with myself....I don't  want to be too confident lol
