Achieved daily goals but not registering for weekly goal

Only three days of daily goals registering although I achieved goals for each day.  Weekly goal achieved is wrong. Have restarted Fitbit, no change. What else can I do?

Hi, @Bilbopup, I am not sure what you mean by weekly goals.  There is the weekly exercise goal... however, it would be possible to meet your daily step goal without meeting your weekly exercise goal.  To meet the weekly exercise goal you must exercise actively (more than just achieve steps) for at least 30 minutes -- the default is 5 days a week, but you can change this.

If this does not answer your question, perhaps you could post more details, or even a screen shot in your app?

Yes I know what you mean but I achieved well over the 35 minutes I had set as a goal for exercise on each day. But only the days registered as meeting my goal. It had happened for two weeks now. Looking at the individual goals, exercise, steps, stairs/floors, distance and calories I exceeded those goals every day but only three registered. If thought maybe I should download the App again or not use or at all and just update online?

Hi, @Bilbopup, if your Charge 2 does not detect the "exercise" it will not count towards your goal, even if you exercise for more than 30 minutes and/ or get active minutes.

If you feel you are not getting automatic credit for your activities, why not use the Charge 2's multisport feature to track your activities.  That way you will always be sure to get credit.

Daily goals - steps/floors/miles/cals/minutes

Monday       -9204/  17  /  4.02/1924 /   48    this gave me one day of 5 days weekly exercise

Wednesday-14714/ 52  /  6.42   /2361/   96  should have given me another day, all values are way above Monday's but no there is not a second day given. This is what is happening frequently I have put the details directly online not through the App/ downloaded the App again. The Charge 2 is recording them but when sent to the App although the readings are recorded the 5 days of exercise are not. It's not the end of the world but I would like the fact I achieved my 5 days goal to be recognised on the App.

Thanks for you input

@Bilbopup as pointed out above, the 5 days of exercise is exactly that. It is a counter of the days that an exercise such as a wslk/run was recorded.. It has nothing to do with hitting your days goal. To see your recorded exercises simply tap on the 5 day exercise tile..

Did you ever figure out how to get your excersise to chart on your daily goals? I too am meeting my daily goal of 30 minutes 5 days a week but my goal achievement says I only did one day. When I read the replies I didn't really find a resolution .

I have tried everything to get my phone to register the info from my charge 2. It worked well for a year now it won't do anything. Have had no info from charge 2 to my phone app since 27 November 2017

That is SO frustrating to me too! I am exercising the same amount and some days my HR will recognize my work out and other days it won't?? Any thoughts on what may help record them more accurately??Is the default "daily goal" 30 min of exercise?

@MaryHadley may I ask whst type of exercises your doing and after they long enough in yimr if your depending on the auto detection. I always have found manually starting to be more accurate and it also gives s distance and possibly a map.

As far as I know their is now default exercise goal. If  there is an exercise logged in a day, that day will be tagged as having done an exercise.

I don't know if this helps provide any more information, but on my Fitbit dashboard, under exercise, it will show that an exercise session was logged, with all the details about the date, time, calories burned and heart rate zones. but at the top for the weekly goal it will continue to say "0 of 5 days." sometimes that will update after a couple of hours to "1 of 5 days" etc, but why is it not immediate? and if this is performing some sort of server side sync to actually log it towards the weekly goal and can be delayed, is it not also possible that its bugging out and failing in some cases to sync at all?

The 0 of 5 days is not your daily goal but your exercise goai.

It looks as if you have chosen to do some sort of exercise on 5 days in a week, the 1 is saying that you only exercises once this week.

Go to your recorded exercises, does this look correct?

My Charge 2 has also been experiencing this issue recently. It worked great for a year but now is losing HR constantly and BPM, And believe me I have adjusted and synced the heck out of that tracker.  And last week only 2 days show on my Weekly Exercise Goal tile, yet all 4 workout days DO show in my daily workout, and all workouts for the week were of equal intensity and well beyond my daily active minutes. Why would only 2 of 4 days be reflected in my weekly goal?

@Rich_Laue, I believe I already answered this in my previous post, and I understand what the exercise goal is.

the point is the progress towards the exercise goal does not always reflect the actual number of exercise days that have been recorded - ie the "exercise goal" function is not updating correctly.

I have achieved my daily goal for streps 3 days so far this week but only one is recorded.   This has occurred other weeks too.  How an this be remedied?

My ionic is doing exactly the same thing and I've tried uninstalling the app and installing it again without success. I think it's a glitch and needs correcting with an upgrade so come on Fitbit please correct it!! Very annoying.

Hi, I have just read all of that, a lot of people seem to be saying the same thing, but with no answers! I smashed it last week, exceeding steps exercise calories every day, but it still only registers 2 of 5 days exercise. Any advice would be great.

What I found was if I tapped on the goals total I could add an extra mile
of walking and that did the trick. However, since the latest firmware
update that's no longer possible but the weekly total now works correctly.
Good luck.

I also started having that problem about a year ago, I could have 30+ active minutes but it would not register as an exercise day. Was unable to fix it only real advice I received was to manually select an exercise on my watch itself i.e. run/bike/treadmill/elliptical then it would count as an exercise day
