All day sync option doesn’t work

I used to own the charge2  which worked fantastic. My husband bought me a charge 3 for Christmas and I’m extremely disappointed. The “all day sync” option has never worked. If I don’t manually sync my Fitbit, it won’t sync it all. 
it also doesn’t track my sleep properly. I’m very disappointed in this product and in Fitbit overall. Is it too late to get a refund?

Hello @RadaL may I ask what phone,the app your asking about, is on?

Does the app have permission to run in the background, and the app gets moved to the background before the phone sleeps?

Are you asking about enabling or disabling all day sync? Or are you saying that the tracker only syncs when the Fitbit app is open?

iPhone 8. Even if the app is left open, it doesn’t sync unless I manually do it
