I used to see what was on my screen, so i could see the time or set my training for example. Right now not even in the shadow i can see anything on my screen. I have already tried different settings, but it made no difference

Thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community, @SunsetRunner.

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Charge 3. Thank you for the information provided and for trying to resolve the issue before contacting us.

If would recommend restarting your Tracker by following these instructions. Whether this doesn't help, please perform a long restart:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

In addition, you can change the clock face of your Charge 3.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

Thank you for your advice! I’ve followed your instructions, but it even got worse because the backlight was dimmed. In this mode, even inside the house, it’s really difficult to see anything. I think it has all to do with the backlight itselve en nothing with the settings. Seems like it lost the power, like the flashlight on your camera or something. Do you think that’s possible?

I have the same issue, though to begin the brightness of the display initially kept reverting to dim (and that's hard to reset if you can't read the display!!) Now, desipte display being set to 'bright' it's impossible to see anything in daylight, and only when at night when it's very dark can you vaguely read the display. I now just use it to record steps and check sleep, since it's useless as a watch. Now thinking of replacing with a garmin as these seem more reliable.
