I would have thought so, I have iPhone and I have checked throughout the app for any other settings and can’t see them. It does say for auto detect activities won’t have gps enabled so make sure you actually start the activity.
Make sure that location settings are enabled for Fitbit to use, but you said that the walk used the gps successfully, so wouldn’t have thought this.
Try a little ride to test, it may just have messed up last time, it can happen.
I went for a ride with my wife, and hers on android lost connectivity with gps and only registered half the ride, but kept the data for time and heart rate etc just not gps.
I checked her her phone to make sure no power saving apps where kicking in which may close applications or functions and set her location services to high accuracy.
Dont know if this did the trick, but we have been on a few more since and the gps has been recorded correctly.
Hope you you get it sorted as things not working right are annoying I know.

Hello @Ote and a warm welcome. Can you please clarify your issue? Do you have GPS enabled for your bike exercise? Before you started your bike ride, did your Charge 3 show that your phone was connected? Is this a map problem that is showing on a phone app or the web dashboard? If the map is not showing on the phone app, is it iOS, android or windows? Are you getting a map preview with the spinning wheel of doom or no map preview at all?
Here is a link to a Help article that might help you with your issue.

Also on the charge 3, when you click exercise and then walk, under the man is a little icon for you to swipe up and it tells you if selection for phone to use gps for this activity is on or off. It is the same for the cycle, just swipe up to see if ‘Use phone GPS’ is set to on.

I’ve seen this response several times, for several questions regarding GPS. This response is getting really irritating, because it sends you to the same help article, which doesn’t help, and the problem still isn’t resolved.
