Black screen

The screen on my Fitbit Charge 3 just remains black.  The day before it went totally black, it did have white stripes going across screen.  The green lights on the back still flicker and I can feel the vibration when I push the button on the side, but it will not totally shut down and restart.  This is my third Fitbit Charge 3 in less than a year!

mine went black today - also vibrating and green light flickering. Tried restarting like it says on the boards and still nothing.

I also deleted it off the app on m phone and Ipad and now cannot even reconnect it as I cannot see the number on the fitbit face when it comes through.  I can feel the vibration of it coming through but cannot see the number to reconnect this particular fitbit to the app.

My Charge 3 screen has been black for two days, I tried to restart it like it says in the threads, but when I tried, it cut off and will not cut back on.  Any suggestions?  I have not had it a year yet.

Did you get it fix? Im having the same poblem with my 1.5 year old fitbit charge 3. White lines and then it went black. Rebooting doesnt help. Please let me know what you did. In this coronavirus world, I doubt I will get customer help.

I went away for military training for a month and left my Fitbit charge 3 home to avoid damaging it. I came home and all I get is a black screen. I've tried restarting it, I get the smiley face or a loading bar, but both disappear and neither fix the problem. Haven't been able to use it for months and have only had it just over a year when the problems started. Anyone know if Fitbit will exchange a faulty product for a working one?

They did replace mine but I had it less than a year and the replacement didn’t last very long either.  I had gone through 3 Charge 3’s in just over a year.  I gave up on Fitbit.

Guess I'm giving up as well. Who wants a watch that only lasts a year. It's more like a disposable watch. Warranty is for a year and it inmediatly breaks!! I liked it a lot!! Very disappointed.

I've had this Charge 3 for a year.  It worked in the first few months. Synching was a nightmare. It finally stopped working altogether. The assist given - delete app, reset, etc., has not helped. It started losing time. I got very ill and didn't address the problem.

And now, as of yesterday, I have a black screen.  I got a smiley face about 20 minutes after a reset, but nothing else visible now.  Just...black.  It periodically vibrates with the black screen.

I'm out of warranty, and I'm so sorry I bought this.

My previous Fitbit was great.  This has been a waste of money and a lot of time deleting, resets, reconnects, new downloads, deleting again, losing all stats from the app, trying to synch, etc.

I'm angry at the waste.

It appears that the lifespan for this fitbit is between 1 and 2 years. Too expensive for a disposable watch. Looking for an alternative.

Makes me cranky. I really liked Fitbit, but an unwillingness to resolve the
problem instead of giving me tasks to undo and reinstall is fast changing
my mind. After posting a complaint I found out my son’s wife had the same
black-screen problem on her out-of-warranty Charge 3.

Fitbit offered her a replacement or 50% off any Fitbit product.

I'm having the same issue.  I've tried restarting it.  Doing a hard restart - everything.  I haven't deleted the app from my phone for fear of losing it all together.  I know I have had mine for over a year and it is out of warranty.  Everything shows up on the app on my phone okay.  It is still tracking everything - or seems to be.  I hate to toss it but it seems rather silly to wear it when I have to look at the app on my phone to see where I'm at.  At this point I agree with others that this is a very expensive disposable watch.  I'm not impressed.  I'm going back to the Zip I think.  I liked what the Charge 3 tracked and the information it provided but it's not worth it to buy another one.  The Charge 4 seems to have some pretty good reviews but I'm not ready to put that kind of money out, especially if it ends up having the same problem as my Charge 3.
