My wife and I have Charge 2 devices but both have been giving problems in recent weeks. As a back up I had bought a 3rd device which has been completely unused since November 2017. When my Wife unwrapped the new unit it showed the Fitbit display so she tried to charge/synchronise it. The screen went blank and despite many attempts to charge it stays blank. Maybe we were crazy to leave a new watch so long unused but we really didn’t expect it to be a problem- any ideas?

No damage to screen or any part of unit, it is absolutely pristine just taken out of the box and try to charge for very first time......then blank screen!
