My charge 2 will not sync and does not show up as connecting or pairing on Bluetooth. Tried all visible resolutions to no avail.

I am having the same problem. I have rebooted and charged the device, turned off WiFi, rebooted the phone and turned the Bluetooth off and back on, and uninstalled/installed the app again. I am beyond frustrated.

Maybe it's at the end of its useful life as 2 1/2 years old and served me well until now. Lol. Beyond trying to fix issues now and looking at a Charge 3 purchase to replace it. Bit sad if it is the case that limited life span, like so many electrical items these days. No other useful replies from Community thus far so taking it that new purchase best way forward for me.

I haven’t even worn mine much until the past 2 months. Pretty pathetic if that’s the case.

It can't be a lifetime thing, because I replaced my old one about six months ago and have been having the same problem for a few days now. I can get it as far as the pairing screen but after I put in the PIN it gets stuck trying to connect >_< really annoyed as the Charge 3 is absolutely rubbish and I really don't want to have to get one of those godawful smart watches, either!

I'm having the same problem and so are many others since the last update, according to their reviews on Google Play.

I have been having the same problem since May 3rd. I have tried everything I even tried calling customer service all they did was take me through everything that I have been doing without them and I still have yet to get it to sync it just keeps spinning on pairing.

It would seem my fears are true then. Nothing can be done and move on. Pity as has been beneficial in trying to make lifestyle changes and get more sleep, one of main reasons for purchase in first place. We all need a little motivation. LOL. Hopefully a Charge 3 purchase solves my issue and helps me continue my good progress in lifestyle. Lol

It's highly likely that a Charge 3 will react the same if it's due to the app update. It's the same app for all fitbits.

Heaven forbid that should happen with a new Charge 3. At least would get money back on it if it does happen. Lol. A lot of other smart watches are too big and chunky and do a lot more than needed so not really an option. The Charge 2 only started playing up on 6th July and quite a while after last update.

Mine is intermittently syncing, not when I try to do it there and then. Make sure you have it set so that it can run background data, and it can launch at start up and keep running etc.

Make sure that it's excluded from any battery optimiser and data saver (I had to turn my data saver off altogether this morning on Android 9 (another new update!) as it wouldn't keep my option to allow fitbit full access for some reason.

Since that, it's sync'ed twice today, even if a bit later than I wanted. Lol.

They need to fix the bug in the update asap (please).

Did your phone update the app the moment it was released?

Like you say, you could take back the charge 3.

I've just had the idea to uninstall the app and reinstall incase there's a conflict with old files. I'll keep you posted. Lol.

Well, it has sync'ed after uninstalling/installing (restarting my phone inbetween) but it wasn't immediate. I'll see how it goes. Lol.

Already tried 're installing app. Did not work either. As said felt all options exhausted unless I eventually see something new to try. Lol. Do appreciate everyone's support and assistance though. Lol
