I get repeated notifications throughout the length of the appointment/event. I'm linked to iPhone 6+. Is there a way to limit the amount of times I'm notified about one calendar event? Seems that it unnecessarily burns battery life.

It's nice to see you here @JayJ, hope you're doing great! For calendar notifications, make sure any third-party calendar apps are synced with your default iOS calendar app. Only the default app sends notifications.
If you haven't set up your notifications yet, let's follow these steps:
Find and tap the Settings option for a menu of device settings.
Verify or adjust these settings:
- Bluetooth. Bluetooth is what allows your mobile device to communicate with the tracker so make sure it is on.
- Do Not Disturb. This feature prevents your mobile device from pushing notifications so make sure it is off.
- Notifications. Your mobile device must get notifications before they can be sent to your tracker. Check these settings:
- For Phone, Calendar, and Messages, make sure Allow Notifications is on.
- For Messages, also make sure Show in Notification Center is on, Show on Lock Screen is on, and you've chosen Banners or Alerts as an alert style.
Now you'll tell Fitbit which notifications you want. Make sure your charged tracker is nearby.
- From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon.
- Tap your tracker's name.
- Tap Notifications. If you're prompted to pair with your tracker, follow the instructions.
- Turn each notification category on or off depending on your preferences. If you want to see calendar notifications, make sure any third-party calendar apps are synced with your default iOS calendar app. Only the default app sends notifications.
Charge 2 has a Notification setting on the tracker. To verify that it's on, on the clock screen, press and hold the button.
Hope this helps my friend!

It's nice to see you around the Community @Citikat! If you go in your app and tap at the top of the dashboard, you will be taken to the Charge 2 settings. Here scroll down to Notifications and here you can disable calendar notifications if you don't want them.
I had a similar issue, If I don't dismiss the event on my phone, it reminds me an hour into the event. Maybe try dismissing on your phone? Keep in mind that as the phone is the source of the notifications, it makes sense that only the phone can cancel them or just turn the Calendar Notification OFF as I suggested above.
Let me know if you have any other questions!

That worked, thanks. Do you offer the option to select the Calendar I use in the future? I hate the iOS native Calendar, I use the Google calendar.

I'm glad to hear that worked for you @JayJ! As I mentioned in my previous post, if you use a third-party calendar app that syncs with your default iOS app, it can send calendar notifications to your Charge 2 without having to use the iOS native calendar.
Hope this helps my friend!

not really, sorry. I have now two reminders on the phone but, yes, I have one on the Fitbit 2. Would be nice if I only need one like on the Android where I obviously can select which app to use.
Thanks

Does Google Calendar work with the notifications too, or is it just the default calendar app on iOS?

Not too sure that this answers the question... and I have the same one. How can I limit the amount of times my fitbit reminds me about a calendar event? Normally it reminds me of an event and that is it, but today for some strange reason it keeps trying to remind me of the same event... I received my 'normal' notification, then another one for the same event a minute later, then again half an hour later... and then again. I have reset my tracker, checked my calendar (the event doesn't actually have an alert set on it)... and still my Charge 2 is reminding me of this event periodially... it is driving me nuts.

Mine has started reminding me randomly of repeat appointments, my phone doesn’t have any sign of a notification on it, but they keep cropping up on my fitbit. It’s worked fine and it’s just started to do it, day and night, it’s doing my head in

This same issue is happening to me. It seems to be when I set up a meeting with multiple participants or am invited to a meeting with multiple participants. My phone does not alert until 15 minutes prior, but the fitbit will alert me over and over again - sometimes starting a day in advance.
The suggested fix does not correct this problem.

No, my issue started about three to four weeks ago. I loaded the most recent OS only about two weeks ago. It may have been an update a bit before, don’t recall if there was one.

Oh gosh! I feel your pain. Lost count of how many notifications I have received so far today on my Fitbit for Veterans Day and have notifications reset to send NO notifications for holidays. Only want notifications for appointments. Super annoying!

I’ve had he same issue for a long time. First on my versa, and now on my versa 2. This morning, I was woken up by a notification at 2:50am for an event that’s at 2:50pm! I thought maybe I put the time in wrong, but when I went into the calendar, the time was correct. And I had the alert set for “one hour” before. I got that notification 3 times! I just went and deleted it from my calendar so that it wouldn’t disturb me again.

After much faffing around I managed to turn off calendar notifications, i still bet texts and phone calls. The calendar was useful but not when it wakes you up every hour

How did you turn the calendar notifications off? I do not have the option in my Settings or the Fitbit App. The notifications are driving me insane.

Have given up and removed the notifications... the FitBit is great for what it is designed for - i.e. tracking movement etc, but despite what the developers may think, it is not ready to be anything else.
