hello Fitbit world,
I revived a fitbit for my 30th birthday. I am 6ft and weigh 73kg and I am a male. I supply these details for info on my BMR.
I put my Fitbit on for the first time yesterday and it has counted (as far as I have scrolled back) to calorie burn as 1,750 calories each day. I fully understand that this is related to my BMR. Does the Fitbit charge 3 always calculate what your average calorie burn would have been? Or is this an issue with my device?
Now that I am using my Fitbit it is saying I have burnt 3,400 calories today. Which is way off based on my BMR. This is making me doubt the other stats that are being recorded.
Anyone had similar issues?

So your BMR is 1750 calories per day. That's going to show in history as far as you scroll back. Don't know why but that just the way it is and you can't get rid of them. These will also get added when you are not wearing the tracker.
Your fitbit says you burned 3,400 calories today, and you say that is way off. Why do you say it is way off? Do you think it should be higher or lower? It's not obvious to me that it is way off, at least without knowing more information about your activity. It seems certainly plausible to me, but likely fairly active.

Thanks for the reply.
I feel this is way to high. I was cleaning my flat yesterday so was moving around a bit but not taking part in any physical exercise.
If this is accurate I would be operating in a calorie deficit my whole life! Is there anything that you think could be wrong with the device or app?
Thanks
james
