Dear All & Support.
I just start using Fitbit versa from last day and it come to my surprise that it shows me with almost 8,500 steps i lose 2500 calories, i am very confuse how this happen previously i was using Apple watch series 3 and with the same steps i lose not more than 600 calories as i have set my target in Apple watch for 700 Calories a day and i acheive it after doing 4 to 5 km walk plus whole day steps.
I wanted to know how come Fitbit calculate these calories numbers, bellow is the screen shot.

I think this might be to do with BMR calories.
As well as tracking calories burned through activity your fitbit also tracks your BMR calories. These are the calories you burn just keeping your body alive (even when asleep). They are calculated from your profile settings for age, height, weight etc so you needn't be wearing your fitbit to get them. What you are seeing includes the total BMR calories burned since midnight.
If your Apple didn't track these then it would explain the difference.

Not really - they can't be shown separately. However, your BMR calories are burned at the same rate whether you are sleeping or very active. So, if you look at your calorie burn per hour for a time when you are asleep then this will be your BMR rate and you could manually subtract this amount from your calories when you are active to get just the non-BMR calories.
To be honest, it would be easier to just get used to it showing all the calories you are burning (BMR plus active calories).
You could also add your vote to the following feature suggestion that proposes showing them separately:
