Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Jess400! The nursing/breastfeeding options are no longer available. Since they had no effect on any data, they were removed to prevent any potential confusion. However, you can go to the Activities tab and create a custom activity. It will allow you to enter calories burned, start time and duration of the activity. Please be aware there is no option to create custom activities through the Fitbit app just at the online Dashboard. However, once it was created you will be able to log it from the app.

You can check the American Pregnancy Association webpage to know the exact number of calories you burn per session.

Also, I'd recommend checking out our Feature Suggestion Board if you haven't already. This is a space where Community users can post features, ideas, and suggestions that they'd like to see in future Fitbit products, accessories, and software and top-voted suggestions get relayed to our product team for review.

I'd also recommend up-voting and commenting on Pregnancy and nursing settings feature suggestion since it is very similar of what you're looking and asking for.

Let me know if there's anything else you'd like me to assist you with!

Please please add pregnancy/nursing/breastfeeding options. It is crazy to me that Fitbit has been around this long without this functionality. The calorie tracking is essentially useless to us when we are pregnant (and trying to healthily GAIN weight) or when nursing (when we are burning hundreds of unaccounted for calories). Pregnant and nursing women want to be just as health conscious as everyone else!

@Bex207 A warm welcome to our Community! Thank you so much for your feedback and interest in this feature. As @MarreFitbit mentioned you can vote for the idea in our Feature Suggestions board. This is how you can tell the developers you are interested in this feature being implemented.

Let me know how it goes!

And now it’s 2022 and still nothing.

Yep. I want this too. I am appalled that breastfeeding etc. "has no effect on any data" - per Fitbit above. What about caloric intake and output!?

Yep you know what also affects data on the Fitbit? Pregnancy.  When I got my first Fitbit some years ago, you were able to put into the app that you were pregnant.  I presume this would stop it autofilling your period dates and telling you your period was overdue.  When I got properly pregnant, that facility was gone.  I endured it telling me I was having my period every month, but then I had to just switch the female tracking off until I got a period again.  If it had been a man getting told he was having a period every month, it would’ve been fixed a long long time ago.  I also had a big problem with my weight goals.  I was very sick with Hyperemesis, and it was telling me well done you got your 10kg loss badge, etc.  But I didn’t want that, obviously, I needed to know how many calories I needed to gain some weight during pregnancy, I wanted to put weight loss on hold for the pregnancy.  Being pregnant also affects your resting heart rate quite a lot too, it needs to show that actually you’re not really unfit, you’re pregnant and your blood circulation is much greater than normal.  Also most likely the safe heart rate goes down during pregnancy, would be great to have an alert if you exceed it.

Now I’m breastfeeding and I want it to know I’m breastfeeding.  It definitely affects things.  I mean for me I gained back the weight I lost breastfeeding for a year.  Now with a cluster feeding toddler, I’m finally losing weight breastfeeding.  But it would’ve been made a lot easier if I could’ve just told the Fitbit app I was pregnant and breastfeeding.
