Good afternoon everyone,
I am trying to remove a friend on my Fitbit Charge 3. They are using a Fitbit Ace 2 for Kids. I'm using a computer do try and do this. I go to View Friends, click on the remove friend but all I get is this error message "oops something went wrong". Any ideas as to how I go about deleting them.
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
I had a similar problem. I discovered names listed as "friends" also linked to one's Fitbit's family account cannot be deleted. When I removed myself from family account, then I was able to delete "friends" following steps described by posts sent to you. It appears one cannot delete "Friends" if they are also listed under family account. Hope this helps.

A warm welcome to the Community, @TrulyBlessed9.
Can you please provide me with a screenshot of the error you are seeing? In the meantime, I recommend removing this friend from the Fitbit app of your phone by doing the following:
I hope to hear from you soon. 🙂

I am having the same issue. I have a Versa 2. No option to delete in the app and I receive an error message when I try to delete via the website.

I am having similar issues. While trying to remove a friend from my watch, I do not get the option to "remove" all I have are "Report Profile" or "Cancel". While trying to remove from website, I get the "something went wrong" prompt. Please advise how we may resolve. Thank you.

1 - Open the Fitbit app
2 - Tap your image icon
3 - Tap your name
4 - In the friends section, tap the image of the one you want to delete
5 - Tap the 3 dots icon in the upper right corner
6 - There is no delete or block option, only option is, report user

Hello @zmSwed, thanks for the screenshot attached. Please note that you're in the user's Community profile and not in the Friends list so that's why you're not getting the option you're looking for.
For a better understanding, please see: How do I report Fitbit Community posts, users, and groups? Also, as mentioned above, see: How do I connect with Friends on Fitbit?
Hope that helps you, I'll be around if there's any questions present.

Hi @zmSwed your link doesn't work. You have to be a friend with someone in order to block them. Did you accept the request? As for the Moderator being able to edit your post, they have the ability and the authorization to do so. When we join the forums, we agree to the Terms of Service, which means our posts can be edited, moved, merged or deleted as Fitbit deems necessary. I've had mine edited, too.

@Odyssey13 Odd, when I clicked on the link it worked just fine. Hmm...
Also having the same issue as others. Go to the person's profile, click the button with the three dots and the only option available is to report the profile. Trying through the browser just gives an error message.

Good afternoon
None of your instructions work. If you follow the steps you have written when you come to remove a friend it just says "oops something went wrong". Such a simple request however you cannot do it. I have now got 3 inactive friends on my account that I just cannot remove. Argh so frustrating.

Hi @TrulyBlessed9 I just went to a profile of a friend and saw the remove button. I did this on my computer and it works. You first posted August 2019 about removing a friend and you still can't remove them? Maybe you could take a picture of what you see, so we can figure out why you can't remove them.
