I use a daily calorie count as a baseline for minimum activity.
When I cycle, the calorie count for the ride is flattened (and lowered) if it is recognised as an activity. I have set the auto-recognition to "ignore" but it keeps on recognising regardless.
When it distributes the cal/minute it seems to only take time into account, not heartrate so I get no reward for exertion. I have to delete the exercise and then the daily calorie count jumps up to where it should be showing clearly the peaks during the exercise, so the AR function does not seem to be averaging, just flattening. I´ve checked with a Polar HRM in tandem and the "unflattened" calorie count seems to be reasonably accurate (or at least consistent), so why mess around with it?
Anyway, I just want to turn it off, can you help?

You say your cycling is recognized as an activity. But what activity is it recognized as - cycling or something else?
You are not manually logging the activity, are you?

its recognized as "Bike". Even though I have set "Outdoor Bike" to ignored in Settings. No, I´m not manually logging the activities.
