Charge 2 Display Screen Frozen

Hi this is my first post to the fitbit community - I see quite a few posts with this problem of display screen frozen so it seems to be a fairly common fitbit bug which my fitbit caught at 6:55 on the 3rd of Jan. As with others it is still recording data and syncing just the display is frozen. I have read several of the articles and tried restarting over a dozen times now with no luck. There doesn't seem to be a user fix listed for this bug other than contact support and if it's out of warranty bad luck! Hopefully someone can let me know if I have missed an easy fix for this common problem please?

Hi, @MarkFletch! When you tried restarting, did the screen power off and back on? Did you feel it vibrate? Unfortunately, as far as I know, the others are right that a restart is probably your only fix.

Hi MakMak, when I plug it in to the charger the frozen time screen locked at 6:55 comes up not the battery symbol and yes when I hold down the button whilst charging after about 4-6 seconds it does vibrate and up comes the frozen time screen. I have done this over a dozen times now with no success. Luckily I managed to find my purchase receipt and it was bought just under 2 years ago so I contacted fitbit support sent them a copy of the receipt and they are sending me out a new Charge 2 so although they can't fix the actual unit they have solved the problem (unless the next one does the same thing down the track)

Fantastic! I'm glad to hear they're helping you out. My mother inherited my Charge 2 and so far has not had any problems, so hopefully there's hope that your new one will be the ticket and not suffer from the same issues as your previous one.
